What is a CSA?
A CSA consists of a community of individuals and families who commit to a farm operation, providing mutual support and sharing the risks and benefits of food production for the season.
Members pledge, in advance, to cover anticipated costs of the farm’s operation and the farmers or farm workers salaries. In return, they receive shares in the farm’s bounty throughout the growing season.
